Our private Vitamin B12 Injection Service is suitable for adults seeking support for low energy, tiredness, brain fog, or general wellbeing. Before any injection is given, we will assess your answers, discuss your symptoms, and confirm whether treatment is appropriate.
If suitable, a trained member of our team will administer a hydroxocobalamin Vitamin B12 injection into the upper arm. Appointments are usually quick and straightforward, and aftercare advice is provided before you leave.
If you already have recent blood results showing low or borderline Vitamin B12, please bring them with you. If you have symptoms but have not yet been tested, we may recommend a Vitamin B12 blood test or a wider blood profile through our blood test service or via your GP.
Your appointment includes a short health questionnaire, an in pharmacy consultation, a suitability assessment, and if appropriate, one hydroxocobalamin Vitamin B12 injection administered by a trained member of our team.
We will also explain what to expect afterwards and when you may need to consider follow up.
This service may be suitable for adults who feel tired, low in energy or run down, people following a vegan or vegetarian diet, those who have been told they have low or borderline Vitamin B12 levels, and people who may have dietary or absorption related risk factors.
If we feel this service is not appropriate, we will advise you on the next steps and may signpost you to your GP.
Low or borderline Vitamin B12 levels may be linked with persistent tiredness, low energy, brain fog, difficulty concentrating, low mood, irritability, pale skin, weakness, shortness of breath, tingling in the hands or feet, dizziness, or feeling light headed.
If you have ongoing or severe symptoms, you should seek further assessment from your GP.
Vitamin B12 injections are generally well tolerated when given by trained professionals. Mild side effects can include soreness, redness or bruising at the injection site, or a mild headache or brief feeling of being unwell.
Please tell us about any medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or medicines you take before treatment. In some cases we may advise speaking to your GP or midwife first.
