Who Should Get The Flu Jab?

The flu vaccine is advised for those at greater risk of severe illness from the flu.

Each year, the NHS provides the vaccine in autumn or early winter.

You are eligible for a free NHS flu vaccine if you:

  • Are aged 65 or over
  • Have specific long-term health conditions
  • Are pregnant
  • Live in a care home
  • Are the primary carer for an elderly or disabled person, or receive a carer's allowance
  • Live with someone who has a weakened immune system
  • Frontline health and social care workers
